Discover the cultures of the various groups that make up Middle Earth in this Lord of the Rings screensaver.
CNet Review:
This isn't about dwarves, exactly. More like dwarf singular. Fantasy buffs eager for a glimpse of J.R.R. Tolkien's elusive race of miners will have to content themselves with a montage of close-ups of Gimli, son of Gloin, as played by John Rhys-Davies in the recent series of films. An assortment of smaller overlay images shows the redoubtable dwarf in action, and gives a look at Gimli's compatriots attending the Council of Elrond. If all that sounds as exciting as a lecture on Sumerian town planning, this isn't the screensaver for you. Also, the total absence of additional features or musical accompaniment might disappoint even Lord of the Rings die-hards. We especially missed the films' stirring score. Nevertheless, dedicated hobbit-heads may enjoy collecting all the screensavers in this series and displaying them with a screensaver manager. It's not quite like visiting Middle Earth, but for those cubicle-bound folks, daydreaming of the plains of Arda, it's not a bad substitute.
